Hey fam, This week has been a good one. We found a few solid people to
teach and we've got a lot of potentials here as well. It's crazy to
think that I've already been here in Clinton for 4 weeks and am
starting my 5th. I am super excited to see how this area is going to
grow. I don't understand why some people want to repent and others
know that they should but are too lazy to do it. It was stake
conference this Sunday for us. We got to hear Elder Giddons of the 70
and also Elder Corbridge. They both spoke fantastically. They are both
very knowledgeable   about the gospel. I would like to be able to know
more about the gospel as well. One of our investigators asked why it
is that Nephi's land of inheritance is in Jerusalem when he is a
descendent of Joseph so from the tribe of Ephraim or Manassah (which
it's Manassah as we learn in Alma). But anyways if you have any
answers- dad- please let me know.
I'm still loving it in Clinton though
the last week was super slow it seemed like everyone of the
investigators cancelled the appointment with us. This week was much
better- we taught quite a few lessons and actually a lot of our
investigators have been reading in the Book of Mormon which also means
fantastic things.
Sounds like you all are keeping busy just taking
random trips to Idaho- I'm kinda jealous about that I won't lie...
So Elder Gonzalez is from California. We have about 40 Spanish
missionaries in the mission and 7 stakes that we cover. Usually there
is one to two Spanish area in each of the stakes.
I did get the package it was great -thank you for that. I've been studying a lot
about the atonement and Elder Corbridge yesterday made an awesome
statement on why we don't wait to repent. He said "we don't wait to
repent because it's not just paying for our sins that has to happen
because we sin but also we have to change so that we can fulfill our
potential as God's children and that change takes place over time
everyday we're either progressing towards our potential or we're going
backwards."
I'm extremely grateful for the blessing of the Lord, for this
probationary life that I have to strive to change and become a better
person so that I can enjoy the blessing that my Father in Heaven has
waiting for me and the blessings that he desires to give me. I love
you all and hope you have a wonderful week.
