Hello family,
How's things going this week? Hopefully everything is going good for all of
you. That's crazy that Halloween is coming up. Our little branch out here
is doing an activity and hopefully it'll be pretty good and we can get our
investigators there.
So this week we've been working pretty hard, We rode bikes a lot because
they cut us in miles and the people that we set baptismal dates with live
twenty miles away so that's a forty mile round trip which doesn't work out
so nicely for us when we're running low on miles.
But for my birthday anything would be nice, maybe a little money so that me
and my comp can go eat somewhere... and also iId like my blue quad sent out
to me. I've been really digging deep and writing a lot of notes in the
little Books of Mormon but I'd also like to do the same with the other
books of scripture and at the same time keep mine nice and clean. Also one
of my goals now in life is to learn Hebrew or Greek so I can read the Bible
in it's originality.
Sounds like everything is going good at home- anything fun coming up? On
preparation day we don't really do anything anymore. President
Bernhisel won't let us go fishing which is a bummer and I'm in Clinton
North Carolina- there is nothing to sight see unless you wanna go see the
hog houses and I've already seen and smelled my fair share of those.
Our baptismal dates are still coming along- they're progressing slower than
we would like them too but hopefully here soon everything will work out
good. That's pretty awesome that Tat is going to serve a mission. You'll
have to tell her hi for me next time you see her and also tell me where she
goes. I'll send you some pictures here soon. I haven't taken many pictures
here yet. iIm not exactly sure why it just seems like I never bring my
camera when I should. Sorry mom. But I'm feeling pretty good. Still tired
and we're out of money so I can't buy any of my diet coke... darn.
But this week I've been reading the New Testament a lot which has been
amazing. The Old Testament is great as well but I got bored when iIread it
at times- I was kinda relieved to have finished it... but the New Testament
and the Book of Mormon are the bomb. I love them. I still love the Book of
Mormon more because it seems like people don't misinterpret it wrong as
often. But I have no doubt that it's the word of God and that we can grow
closer to the Lord by living everything we read in them and follow the
teachings in them. I love you all and hope everything is going good for
you.
Love, Elder Miller
