Hi everyone. I'm doing great. This week has been an awesome one. It's been a little bit different not being district leader but I just use the extra time to study. That's super sad to hear about Wanda Kelly though.Ii've been getting your packages they've been awesome! Thanks so much for them. I love them. It's been a struggle but it's not a big deal. The mtc is hard.
Elder Clayton of the Quorum of the 70 came and spoke to us. It was a fantastic talk and a great reminder of why we're here. I got the card in the package and i sent it to you with an explanation of the pictures. I don't have alot of time to take pictures but there's a few.
How was your visit with kelsey/what'd you two talk about? iI see Chubbs/ Elder Hemsley almost every day but I don't see many other people besides him. This time has been flying by though I honestly don't even know where it's all gone. I got a new companion. I have two now because one of the elders in my district had to go home. It's me Elder Burnham and Elder Adams. They are both going to Raleigh.
We committed our first investigator to baptism the other day. It was so sweet I was so pumped. Also I did get the letters from grandma and grandpa Miller and Draper. They were both very nice.
Why are you and dad going to Idaho? For any specific reasons?
It's amazing how when you sit down and study something as simple as faith that you think you already know about then after you study you realize you didn't know anything before. It's been amazing to be guided by the spirit on a regular basis and to have the spirit prompting me what to say with my investigator.
I have my on and off nights as far as sleeping goes but it's ok I just keep myself busy during the day hoping that I wont get tired cause I'm moving/thinking alot. I love my mission so far and the mtc isn't always the greatest but if my mission is as good as it's been here I don't think I'll ever come home! (don't worry I will. I miss you all alot and would want to see you) ;) well I'm running out of time just thought I'd give you an update and let you know what's happening. Thanks for all of your support and please tell everyone thank you for their letters and packages. I'll try and write them all back as soon as possible. Tell the little ones hi for me. I love you all.
Love, Elder Miller

Hi everyone/mom, hows everything going?
Things here are super busy but really good. I think this is my last Sunday as district leader or at least is usually is that way. That's funny to hear about Max and what he's said (told Brett about the things Max wrote at school about Christmas). The kindle charger should be in my room yes its white.
Also thanks for the packages they've been awesome. I got the addresses the second time you sent them to me but not the first. The dear elder thing isn't very good. I haven't heard from Ryan yet. Also I don't really have a preference of pens just not the cheap ones that break, maybe some pens like the ones we bought when I left. Laundry is easy and i just hang all my stuff up after I dry it so I still haven't ironed anything. ha.
That's cool about Brittani's condo. I won't miss moving them in though. Tell everyone thanks for the mail it's so great to get letters. Also what is Kadan's address? I gotta write him. I have all the stuff you sent me up and decorating my room. thank you. well I've gotta prepare a lesson for my investigator so I've gotta go. goodbye.
love elder miller.

December 9, 2011 Email

Hi.  everything is going great this week. I actually can speak enough Spanish to get my point acrossed to my investigator without having to look up any words. That story about Lizzie is very funny! Ha!! (Lizzie got my cell phone-Brett is my wallpaper-and kissed it). I miss the little ones. what's going on with Brittani then? Is she alot better than she was?
I go to the temple every Friday around 9:45.  Don't worry about a hat and gloves for me here, it's not even cold outside with a suit on.
For Christmas I can't really think of anything I want except a family picture and a picture of the grandkids I can hang up in the class room. Also if you could send me the memory card so that is can send you the pictures that I have that'd be great.
I got the package you sent me... it was fantastic!!!! Thanks so much for it.
I've read through the Book of Mormon one and a half times since I've been here.  It's been the greatest experience for me. It's truly the best, most true book on earth.
I could use some more stamps and a few things like that. Maybe you could send me a few nice pens. That'd be great.
As district leader I interview the senior companions at least once a week, if there’s anyone that is struggling with something I talk to them or if needed call the branch president for them. I also have meetings with the other district leaders and branch presidency twice a week. It takes away any free time I would have but it's good to keep me busy.
Tell everyone hi for me and that I love them.
love,
Elder Miller

Hi everyone.

How are you doing? How's the week been for you? My week was full of so much stuff.  I taught 5 lessons in spanish and ha, I still don't know half of what I say during the lessons but it's funny because the spirit is so strong and you could tell the investigator knew what we were teaching. That's way cool the mcmurtrey's bought the car. What is it going to take for the truck to run? How are the little ones doing?
I'm taking pictures as much as I can. The food is alright but man it's terrible! My whole entire district ends up spending the next fifteen minutes of study time in the bathroom... for some reason it doesn't stop us from taking seconds though. Maybe its because we get some good stall ball time in during our bathroom time. Thanksgiving was ok.. Elder Nelson talked to us which was awesome, but the dinner wasn't the greatest. The turkey was pink, not sure if that's supposed to be edible. But thats ok.
Other than that I'm good. everyday here is super spiritual but super tiring. Me and my comp are the only ones in our room. There's supposed to be six in a room our size but it's just us which is super nice. Our district is still super close I'll send you home some pictures before Christmas. We used to have a fridge in our room but they finally took it back. It was so nice cause we had a lot of queso that we kept and ya it was fantastic.
Well tell everyone hi for me and that I love them.

love,
Elder Miller
