Hey fam, it sounds like
everything is going pretty good. Sounds like you are all very busy which is
always good.
This week was a pretty good week- not quite as good as last week but we
have deffinately turned this area around which is so great. There's a lot
of people who are being prepared to receive the restored gospel -it's
amazing to be doing the Lord's work right now. This week is going to be a
very busy one. I get to go on exchanges with the zone leaders and then with
one of the companionships in my district and then we have a general
authority coming to visit the mission. So we're going to have a lot of work
to do this week.
So as district leader I go on companionship exchanges with each missionary
in my district every transfer and then I also teach district meetings on
Wednesday and then report numbers so it's not a whole lot of responsibility
just enough to keep my a little more busy. Then ya I'm still training but
that's going really good- Elder Nelson is a great missionary so everything
is working out great.
Sounds like all the little ones aren't so little anymore... but at least
I'll be able to have a few more little ones when I get home. I want
pictures of the twins as soon as they come out. So I'll be waiting for
those in the coming weeks.
So this week we were asked to read a talk Elder Bednar gave in a fireside
called Learning by Faith. It's one of the most amazing talks that I've
read. It talks a lot about how faith and experience have everything to do
with our learning. It's so true- we can only learn and truly know through
our own personal experiences. That made me think a lot about the spiritual
truths that I've learned through experience, I know that Prayer is one of
our most powerful tools here on earth. I know that Fasting produces
miracles. I know that striving to have the Holy Ghost with us always is the
only way to find happiness in this life, and I know Jesus Christ paid for
my sins and that only through him I can receive the gift of eternal life.
I've received the joy and seen the miracles that come from each of these
principles and as I've been able to notice these things as my faith
continues to grow in the Savior Jesus Christ. I love you all so very much
-I love Lord and I love doing his work. Have a great week!
Love, Elder Miller
